Have to feel for them. What are the chances of them sharing here seeing as we have no reserve team ?

Crosbie is an egomaniac. Clearly this wasn't his only possible course of action

Probably back to Sittingbourne I would have thought, time is running out for them and Ashford.

Trouble they now have is whoever they share with fixtures have already been released so they will have a lot of friday/sunday games wherever they play.

Don't think Ryman South have had their fixtures announced yet but the whole thing is a shambles, got to feel for the fans of Ashford and Maidstone tonight, their future looks bleak.

I thought Ashford needed all the money they can get - so then why are they throwing a money maker out? Seems like one small man is throwing his toys out of the pram over a relatively petty matter.

Not sure if Maidstone would want to travel down to us, but it would certainly had a few more notes to the clubs coffers and were offering a better ground than Bourne Park!

Its ok unless we have a wet winter then two games in 24 hours would destroy the pitch. With Marin wanting to play silky football and use lots of wing play the last thing you need is the pitch cut up from a previous night game. That bloke at Ashford went from promising a 6 million pounds stadium to someone who wont let them watch Sky tv very odd.Shows how vulnerable clubs are at present and how continued support is the best way to survive.I still think unfortunatly their are to many clubs to sustain semi pro football and the days of clubs going purely ameteur with local players playing for a bag of chips and pride of the own town shirt will return. It may not be liked but football is un sustainable for many clubs

I don't think the very idea of any other club sharing our hallowed turf would even be considered.

You have to feel sorry for the club and the supporters -- Lets hope it's a good game tonight for both teams!

£10 eh, Good to see the club has finally listened to fans concerns about paying the full entrance fee, particularly for the lower profile (no offence Maidstone) pre season friendlies.

I presume that's ironic.
Chelmsford are charging a fiver for their game against Leyton Orient tomorrow!

Which means they will have to get double whatever we take at the gate to make as much money as we do, to pay for the players we want to win this league this season, otherwise some people will moan about the lack of quality in our squad etc. It's a vicious circle, just depends on how sucessful you want us to be.

Whilst appreciating your point, charging locals a tenner to watch Cray Wanderers is not going to get your average part-time fan going up Crabble is it?

And charging a fiver will not get double the amount through the gate. So the club would lose money.

In reality those that are going to attend pre-seasons are going to anyway. Halfing the price is unlikely to bring any extra people in. We'll get the usual mix of season ticket holders, plus those who are eager to see any trialists and that'll be it. The only pre-seasons that drag in more crowds have typically been either Premiership sides, Charlton or Gillingham.
